District Two Friends and Neighbors:
Five years ago, I was privileged to represent you as the District Two City Councilman. Today, I am seeking the honor of continuing to serve as your councilman for the next four years. In 2020, I campaigned on the theme of 'Answering Your Call,' pledging to elevate District Two's representation to the same level as other districts in our city. You deserved a city councilman who was accessible, attentive to your concerns, and responsive in a timely manner. To achieve this, I made my personal cell phone number available to everyone, prioritizing communication with all who called, regardless of whether I could ultimately assist them.
This year, I am running on the theme of 'Still Answering Your Call.' My contact information and availability is always there for my community, and I invite you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns related to District Two or the City of Russellville. I have also been committed to 'listening to your needs' in fighting corruption within our city.
My actions as your councilman demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our community. A city council must work as a team with the mayor, and county, state and federal leaders to drive progress. If re-elected, I will continue to ensure that District Two remains an integral part of the City of Russellville, with no job too small and never too big.
Clay Avenue, Penny Lane and scheduled repaving projects of Madison Avenue, College Avenue and Scott Avenue.
During the COVID-19 pandemic I had a big part in placing Free WiFi in Down Town for all residents, providing a way for students at home with no broadband availabilty to have a way to keep up with their virtual school work.
Drainage Improvements and Flooding Eradication projects, including a $250,000 flooding remediation on Monroe Street, Scott Avenue, McKinley Street and several more.
Voted to approve two different raises for all City of Russellville employees in the past four years, as well as approving an insurance premium decrease for employees that resulted in savings on out-of-pocket expenses.
Approving funds to purchase 15 new Russellville Police Department vehicles and three new fire trucks, including a new truck equipped with a 100-foot rescue platform to facilitate safe rescue of persons in multi-story buildings. Additionally, equipment purchases were approved that made the Russellville Fire Department’s equipment inventory one of the strongest in North Alabama.
Increased enforcement of compliance violations in District Two, including condemnation and demolition of four eyesore properties, numerous tree cuttings to increase visibility and correct drainage issues and numerous cleanups of yards cluttered with debris in violation of city ordinances.
Have shown numerous properties to manufacturers and restaurant owners interested in locating to Russellville, including an ongoing project that, if approved, could have a significant impact on the local economy.
Worked to install four way stops at three different locations in District Two in response to citizen complaints about high speed traffic. Installation of ‘Slow, Children At Play’ signs at several locations.

I have been very transparent to the citizens of District Two and our city in bringing attention to suspicious expenses and activities within the Russellville Electric Board. You work diligently to provide for your family, and it was unjust to see a local utility board impose an electric rate increase during a pandemic. When the same board voted itself a pay raise immediately after increasing your rates, I publicly expressed my outrage and opposition to these actions.
Our city is currently undertaking a $4 million paving and infrastructure improvement program, the largest in our city's history. District Two is receiving its fair share of these improvements, ensuring that our community benefits from this significant investment.
District Two is now represented on the Russellville Gas Board, Russellville Water and Sewer Board, and will soon have a member on the Russellville City Schools Board of Education, ending years of no representation. Again, you deserve equal representation, and we have made substantial progress toward this goal over the past five years.
My actions as your councilman demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our community. A city council must collaborate as a team to drive progress. As your councilman, I will continue to ensure that District Two remains an integral part of this team.
